Thomas W. Speh, an associate of Freese & Associates, Inc., is the Associate MBA Director and former James Evans Rees Distinguished Professor of Distribution at The Richard T. Farmer School of Business, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Speh has taught courses in Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management. He is co-author of Business Marketing Management: A Strategic View of Industrial and Organizational Markets, 10th edition, the leading textbook in the Business Marketing Management area. He was the Director of the Warehouse Research Center at Miami University from 1986 –2000. During this time the Center published a wide array of research studies and warehousing management guides. He has also developed An Approach for Determining Warehouse Costs, a PC-based model for determining total warehousing cost.

Dr. Speh was the 2003 President of the Council of Logistics Management, a recipient of that organization's Distinguished Service Award; a past president of the Warehousing Education and Research Council and a recipient of that organization's Lifetime Achievement Aard. He has conducted research and consulting projects in warehousing management, supply chain relationship management, warehousing cost analysis, logistics outsourcing, and marketing strategy planning. He is a well recognized expert in supply chain management and logistics having written numerous books, manuals, monographs, journal articles, conference proceedings and trade articles. He has also delivered hundreds of presentations to groups throughout the world.
