Mr. Thomas L. Freese is Principal of Freese & Associates, Inc. Mr. Freese has over 25 years of extensive operations experience with a wide variety of practical knowledge in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Before establishing F&A, Inc., Tom was a Senior Management Consultant, specializing in logistics with a major international consulting firm. Prior to that he served as Director of Distribution for Brush Wellman, Inc. and Manager of Physical Distribution for Parker Hannifin Co., and at UNOCAL (Union Oil Company of California) he held numerous line and staff distribution positions.
His experience spans the product line spectrum from controlled pharmaceuticals to hydraulic components from bulk chemicals, fresh poultry and frozen foods to consumer goods. His projects have encompassed work with manufacturers, wholesalers, government, retailers and e-tailers and have been conducted throughout North America, Europe (both Western and Eastern) and Asia.
Tom has served on the Governing Board of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Executive Committee of the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), a frequent guest lecture at a number of universities, former facility member of the American Warehousing Association basic supervisory course, the University of Wisconsin’s Advisory Committee on Warehousing, the Greater Cleveland Hospital Association Committee on Warehousing and as a member of the editorial review board of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management. He currently serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Business Logistic and the CSCMP Technology Review Committee as the 1st Vice President of the NE Ohio WERCouncil and a member of the WERC Knowledge Committee. A well recognized expert in supply chain management and logistics he has written numerous articles and a frequent speaker at CSCMP, WERC, ProMat, NCOF, eyefortransport, the PARCEL Forum, the Coppead UFRJ International Forum & Expo Logistica, and other industry conferences having delivered more then 180 professional presentations to groups in Brazil, China, Dubai, Europe, Korea, Malaysia, Russia and the United States.
Tom is an active member in the Association of Transportation Law, Logistics and Policy (ATLLP), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), International Customer Service Association (ICSA), and Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC).
